So, we got this new boss at Gamestop, right before I left, and he would hit on me. This was *awesome* >-> But see, like, he apparently hits on everyone he thinks he has a chance with, or anyone at all, because he wants to feel like they want him. Anyway, that was an aside, the point of that story was that eventually he found out that I was dating lily. So he brings it via "clever" conversation, and I'm like "by golly, I am dating her." And things are fine. Only then like, some half an hour later, out of the blue, he's all "So...do you hate men, then?"
...because clearly, if I am dating a girl, I must hate men. Clearly! I mean, that's the only explaination, right?
That was more related to your link in small font down there. I don't even know what to say on the actual topic. That BurgerKing could be so insensitive and just plain stupid is..offensive. Like, not even as a woman, but as a person. It offends me that they are that dumb. Do they understand the concept of PR? Or maybe they don't care -- they're clearly not trying to cater to a female audience.
The "check your vaginas" thing is just as awful. I don't think I could attend that class -- I had a hard enough time as it was, in classes, thinking "Oh gods, the professor is going to hate me/laugh at me because I ask questions. Or because I don't ask questions. Maybe because I sit too close, or not close enough. Because I'm taking notes, or not taking enough notes, Or..." so to think that he was going to look down on me before I even did anything, for something I had no control over...very demoralizing, certainly.
Rahr. Rahr I say.
