Good things!
Two things happened that boosted the quality of my day:

I went to the C.O.R.E. office to discuss my internship. A 3-credit internship is required for the Women Studies major, and it requires 90 hours of work (each credit is supposed to represent 3 hours). I've been trying to get the last 15-20 hours for the past couple of months, and was stressing that I wouldn't get them in. The assistant director had told me that I could make up that time by helping with the interviews for next year's C.O.R.E. staff, but the interviews hadn't been set up yet, and it's already the last week of the quarter.

Well. I went in today to get some forms filled out, and the assistant director told me that she didn't think I needed to do any more work than I already have (presentations, SARVA Week, etc.). And I *couldn't* do more, anyway, because the University is barring volunteers from participating in the interviews.

So! I'm done with that, and I don't have to worry about squeezing 20 hours out of the next week and a half. Insert relieved sobbing here. O_o

I also went to talk to one of my supervisors at work. Our current receptionist got accepted for a new position in the department, and it had been hinted that I could apply to be her replacement. But I hadn't heard anything in a while, so I decided to ask if it was still feasible.

And it is. If by "feasible," I mean my supervisor saying "Fuck yeah!" and slapping things. (Feels good to be wanted. XD XD XD) She gave me the details on the position and told me to meet with her to develop a strategy that means I'd get hired.

So ... yeah. ♥ I know I was worried a while ago that I might not want to stay in the same office, but those worries are pretty much gone now. There's just so much that I *like* about this place, that I may not find in a new office. And yes, part of that is my fear of change talking; but on the other hand, it's also good to hold onto a good thing when you've got it. Plus, I think I could really use this position as a place to develop my skills and set myself up for an even better job later down the line.

Of course, this isn't guaranteed. My supervisor wants to give me the job, but there are still hoops to jump through. In the meantime, I've got some other interviews lined up, so I'm going to go to those and keep my options open.

But, well ... Yay. ♥
